The physically and mentally soldiers together with Leckie and Basilone landed in Melbourne, Australia. On their arrival, the people in Melbourne cheered them and greeted them like a hero. A Congressional Medal of Honour was awarded to Basilone and is asked to go home to his family. Meanwhile, Leckie falls in love with an Australian lady.
