When Mr. Burns was sent to prison because he got caught stealing an art work, he assigned Smithers to be in charge of the power plant while he was gone. But Smithers was overwhelmed by his power and goes abusing it, which made the employees of the power plant work together to free Mr. Burns out of jail.
