As a new addition to the group, Zoey invites them to go an art museum, but with the others not wanting to go which leaves only Ted and her, the others brings up the theory that no men and a married woman can be friends. With that said, Ted tries to prove them wrong by going out on limb and hangs out with "The Captain" on his boat. Meanwhile, also to try and nullify the said theory, Robin and Marshall goes out to dinner together which also brings up another theory called The Mermaid Theory.
