When The Doctor neglected to change the settings of the TARDIS, Amy accidentally can't get out of it and then traveled into the future, 7 days after the current time, without the Doctor. Now the Doctor is left alone on Earth while he waits for his TARDIS to go back, he now goes melding with the human race and pretends to be one himself. He then gets to be Craig Owens lodger and then he discovers a house near Aikerman Road where there is a staircase where the ones that go up, never comes down.
